Project: Vendor Scheduling System
To schedule an appointment for the vendors such that no multiple vendors book the same appointment slot. The biggest challenge was to avoid race condition of bidding for the same appointment slot. We built the database architecture which would communicate with SAP and portal at a same time. The system built had the ability to handle multiple users concurrently. We designed scalable architecture from the day one with ability to modify and add more modules in future. Whenever there is a successful entry in the portal, the database was synced with SAP to ensure consistency.
